The Miss Northern Lights Teen Organization crowned its first titleholder in 2016. It is an opportunity not only to provide young women scholarship money for higher education, but to give teen girls the opportunity to represent the Miss Northern Lights Organization in the Miss Wisconsin's Teen Competition. The teen competition is an open competition,  meaning that any young woman who lives or goes to school full-time in Wisconsin is eligible to compete.

 

Miss Northern Lights' Teen will win a $250 scholarship and a trip to Miss Wisconsin's Teen! Through her participation in the program she will be able to spread awareness about a cause she cares deeply about, increase her public speaking and leadership skills, showcase her talent and form lasting friendships with peers and mentors who share her passion for community service, scholarship, and success. We are looking for a young woman who is talented, intelligent, service-minded, driven and engaging!

Teen Contestants will compete in the following areas of competition: Private Interview with the judges, Health & Fitness in Activewear,  Talent/HERstory, Evening Wear, and Onstage Question.

 

The Miss Northern Lights Competition is a one-day event and is meant to be fun! Contestants will arrive in the morning, rehearse, have their private interview with the judges, then compete in the competition that same evening. There will be no rehearsal time before the day of the pageant. Please come prepared to compete. If this is your first time competing, don't worry! We will work with you to make sure you are ready.  Please feel free to contact us, and we will help to make sure you know what to expect and give you guidance on how to prepare. 

 

Requirements of Competition

To compete, you must:

• Be between the ages of 14 and 18 as of June 16th, 2025

• Be a United States citizen.

• Live, work or go to school full-time in Wisconsin.

• Be in reasonably good health to meet the job requirements.

• Be able to meet the time commitment and job responsibilities of Miss Northern Lights' Teen

• Be available to compete in the Miss Wisconsin's  Teen Competition in June  2025.

The cost of the competition:

• $39.99 Miss America Registration Fee (made only once per competition cycle year. If you have signed up to other MAO competitions prior to Miss Northern Lights, you will NOT need to pay this fee again. This payment is made directly through the Miss America website)

• $30 minimum fundraising for the Miss America x American Heart Association campaign per local competition. (You will be given directions on how to create a spotfund page)

• $50 non-refundable entry fee made payable to the Miss Northern Lights Organization
